My Story
My name is Jamie Burdette. I live in a small southwestern Kansas town. I have three children and one grandchild. I have taught over 20 years in the same small town that I grew up in. I have always loved to find different ways to use my creativity. I love finding new and challenging ways to create things.
My business, KansasGirlEarrings started out of the need to just create something. I needed a hobby where I could make something creative and turn my brain off to the stresses of the world. I stumbled on how to make earrings. I started out making earrings for myself and the more I designed I decided "Why not sale some of my designs?" From there I literaly fell into a business and have had fun finding materials to use to create earrings.
Kansas Girl Earrings are made from cut out wooden shapes. The most popular shape that is used is the teardrop shape. I then use scrapbook paper and a special glue to create the earrings. I am also looking at other shapes to use and other materials to start trying. My goal is only to share something fun and unique with the world.
